Masters of Photography-Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre

Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre was unique to photography because he essentially was the founder of photography.  He invented the daguerreotype style of photography.  Daguerre was born on November 18, 1787 and died on July 10, 1851. Daguerre mostly photographed portraits.  Daguerre lived most of his life in the Paris area. Daguerre also invented the diorama model.

We chose this photographer as the subject for our project because he was the first major photographer and he influenced the rest of the photography field at his time.  Daguerre inspired me to become a leader, since he was a leader in his field and pioneered the uncharted waters of photography.  My view of Daguerre did not change throughout the course of this project.
